There’s some good news floating around the internet for Lil Weezy right now. Lil Wayne might not have to spend anymore time behind bars in Arizona for his drug and weapon charges after he gets out of the New York jail. Lil Wayne entered a plea agreement with the prosecutors in Yuma County Superior Court Friday morning. Lil Wayne, who’s real name is Dwayne Carter, pleased guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug, which he was charged for back in January 2008.  This is great news for Weezy because he’s already spent enough time in prison, for something he should be allowed to carry. I mean it’s not like he shot the gun or anything. If I was a rapper and knew anyone on the street could easily pull up and shoot me, I’d have a gun on me at all times. Some ‘laws’ this ‘government’ makes up today are plain stupid.

Here are some recently released pictures of Lil Wayne and Kobe Bryant in a photoshoot for Vibe Magazine. “He’s the greatest on the court, and I’m the greatest on the verse”, a quote from Lil Wayne’s hit “Kobe Bryant“. Now after signing with Young Money, Drake is talking about working with Lil Wayne for the rest of his career because of the chemistry the two have together and how Lil Wayne put himself out there to promote Drake. He feels that signing to Young Money was necessary to show Weezy that he appreciates what he’s done for him.

“To go independent is — like I said in a prior interview — it’s a funny term,”

Drake told MTV News on Tuesday, addressing the deal that finds his albums being released on Wayne’s independent Young Money label (which is affiliated with Cash Money Records) and being distributed by the major Universal Republic.

“Because it’s almost impossible to go fully independent. This was basically like the closest thing I could get to my own independence, to sort of continuing to be that guy to the fans that, you know, is trying to prove something — trying to prove that it can be done. So with that being said, I signed directly to Cortez Bryant and Gee Roberson, my two managers, and their company Inspire. It’s a joint venture with Young Money, so that’s the deal. I know there’s been a lot of stuff on the Internet about different entities, but that’s the people involved in the main record deal. And then it’s distributed through Universal, so it’s great, man. You know, if we can sell some records I think it could be a pretty legendary situation.”

Even though Drake decided to stay with his managers (who also manage Lil Wayne), he said he loved the courting process.

“Well, the whole thing with me was, I met some great people along the way. Warner Music’s Lyor Cohen is such a special man to me, even though I am signed where I am signed at. You know, Interscope head Jimmy Iovine, same thing, a great person that taught me a lot in a very short period of time. But my loyalty lays with Wayne. For him to be able to benefit from the situation and for us to be able to brand Young Money, this is the route that I went.

“I plan to work with Wayne for the rest of my career so I think it’s a smart career move,” he added. “You know, everybody else on Young Money will hopefully work out the situations, get the right people on the album. I think it was important for me to show him that I believed in him as much as he believed in me. Because a lot of months he stuck his neck out there for me, you know with the VMAs, and then ‘Ransom,’ and all the songs that we put out. And the things he would say in interviews, he really put himself out there for me. So I think it was only just and fair to show him that I feel the same way.”

In a recent interview with XXL, rapper 50 Cent who recently dropped his War Angel LP, calls out Lil Wayne and his number of album sales. Fifty goes on to say, “What does that mean that he has sold a million records?” and then goes on to brag about his ten plus million sold for two albums. After hearing the War Angel LP, I was not impressed one bit with 50’s style. Lil Wayne should come back with a video for 50 Cent, but I highly doubt it because he doesn’t have any time to waste. “Well Em, I don’t even see Em in a category,” Fif explained in an interview. “Then Em’s number one and I’m number two. What does it mean that you sold a million albums? So you gonna forget I sold ten million records twice? 12 million first, ten million next, so what does that one million mean? What you’re talking about is who has a buzz. A buzz is a song, so the next song I release you feel could turn me into the hottest thing out here. If I’m showing you full capability, what makes you doubt that?

There’s a cloud, there’s a respect that is well deserved on Jay-Z’s part because he’s had that cloud come over him and constantly work through it. Having so many projects come out and being successful and maintain being here, there’s a significance in that. Because the public goes after countless hit records, they say, ‘Think you can do it again?’ Ask me if you think he can do it again, hell yeah. ‘Cause he did it how many times in front of us?”

“We get those moments where people decide to doubt and I’m fine with it,” he adds. “You know and then they’ll change their mind and I’ll tell em suck my dick, kiss my ass and everything else at the same time because they decided to doubt for that small time period.”

Finally, after weeks of speculation, Drake has decided and now signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records because he needs distribution for his upcoming album. The signing is joint deal between Young Money, Cash Money, and Universal Republic distributing the records. After first Drake was wanting to remain an independent artist, however in the video he talks about how he needs a army or team of people to push his album, and have a big name behind it. Universal Republic is going to do just that.

“Today is a definitely a comfortable day for me, having my team now that’s been in place for a couple of years. It’s just a great day,” Drake said. “It’s something new, but it feels familiar.”

Here is the video from last night’s BET Awards 2009 where Young Money performed several hit songs. It looked like the performance was thrown together at the last minute but Lil Wayne, Drake, Birdman, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine all performed well for Young Money. Drake started it off with “Best I Ever Had”, which led to Lil Wayne, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine doing “Every Girl”, and then finally Birdman and the rest of Young Money rapping to “Always Strapped”. Shanell, Lil Twist, and Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae were also on stage during some of the performances.

Reminding you that the BET Awards 2009 are on tonight at 8PM and Lil Wayne is expected to make an appearance. Jamie Foxx is hosting the show and there will be performances from Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, and of course Young Mula. From Twitter it is said that Gudda and Mack Maine will be there representing Young Mula along with Lil Wayne. Drake is also said to make an appearance and maybe even a performance from him or Lil Wayne? Much of tonights show should be dedicated towards Michael Jackson because of his recent passing, so this is one BET Award show you won’t want to miss.

As the world was struck with the shocking news of Michael Jackson’s death the other day, Lil Wayne had some kind words to say about the King of Pop. Michael Jackson was known as one of the greatest entertainer’s of all time with too many top hits to name. Many believe Michael Jackson was a phenomenon who broke race, gender, and culture issues for people in the 80’s, for which everyone should respect him. Lil Wayne talked to MTV News shortly after the news of his death and said:

“I personally can’t believe it,” Lil Wayne told MTV News. “But it’s more unfortunate for the world of music. … My love goes out to his family. … A sad day in history, not just music.”
