In a recent report Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to felony gun possession charges in a Manhattan courtroom today, October 22nd. Dating back to 2007, the rapper was arrested following his first headlining concert in New York on gun and drug charges. It is said Lil Wayne will be sentenced anywhere from 8 months to one year in federal prison, and as part of his plea for the one year deal, he must give up his passport. When asked if he understood the terms of the plea by the judge, Weezy responded yes, quietly.

When asked what type of gun he possessed, Lil Wayne said, “A .40-caliber semi-automatic.”

The hearing started at 10:05 a.m. ET in the Manhattan court, and quickly ended 20 minutes later. Lil Wayne was seen wearing black jeans, a white T-shirt, gray coat, and blue Chuck Taylor’s. Accompanied by the CEO’s of his lable, Bryan “Baby” Williams, and Ronald “Slim” Williams, the Cash Money Records representatives were with Wayne as they exited the building. Lil Wayne was covering his head with the hood of sweatshirt and didn’t respond to the papparazi.

Lil Wayne is expected to serve between 8 months and one year around February 2010 in federal prison, assuming good behavior. He is also scheduled to appear in court December 2009 for a parole check.

The incident took place in July 2007, and is just now being handled by the courts. Police pulled over the tour bus around 11:30 p.m. the night of his show at the New York’s Beacon Theatre, and arrested Lil Wayne for criminal weapon possession, and another man on the bus for criminal possession of marijuana. Looks like Weezy won’t be the Hottest MC In The Game anymore for 2010.
