The Weinstein Company who is producing the Lil Wayne and Bow Wow movie “Hurricane Season“, have announced it has been postponed indefinitely. Due to major financial issues and recent layoffs, the Weinstein Company cannot afford to go along with the marketing and final production. The movie which features Lil Wayne as a punk high school kid, and Bow Wow as the main basketball star had a multi-million dollar budget. Forest Whitaker was also going to play a major role, and the movie would definitely have an urban appeal. Hopefully the movie “Hurricane Season” won’t receive the dreaded straight to DVD treatment. Once we receive more news about the movie and if it will ever hit theaters, we’ll let you know.
