Back in June it was reported that Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, and Forest Whitaker had a movie coming soon called “Hurricane Season“, however it was put on hold due to financial reasons. The Weinstein Company who was producing and marketing the movie could not afford it at the time due to other projects, one of them being the new Quentin Tarantino hit “Inglorious Basterds“. Well “Inglorious Basterds” has grossed over $140 million so far, and only cost $70 million to make, so the Weinstein Company will be pulling “Hurricane Season” off the shelves and getting it ready. What exactly does that mean for Lil Wayne, and Bow Wow? You will get to see Lil Weezy play a seventeen year old high school student who hates his high school’s basketball team, and Bow Wow is actually the star player on the basketball team. This is definitely worth the wait, and should be money well spent to see this one in theaters.

check the post date Sept 5, 2009…i recently bought the movie at a closing blockbuster for $5..wasn’t too bad and I’m surprised it didn’t make theaters. The Katrina references throughout the movie were nice, and I believe that’s one of the reasons they didn’t want it to make theaters. People would have felt there was not enough done for the people in New Orleans.

It wasn’t a bad movie, but could have been a little more entertaining. I got it for 5 bucks at a blockbuster close-out, maybe you can find a deal somewhere.
